Timothy Timmons

STORY

Timothy Timmons, better known by his stage names Bossolo or Legendary Boss and formerly known as Big Boss S.O.L.O. is one of the prominent rappers from Riverside, CA, a city located in the Los Angeles urban area. He's also a producer & CEO of Bloc Hustle Inc.

He's the perfect definition of the O.G & is a vet in the rap game.

Bossolo spent the first part of his childhood in Madison, WI, where he was born, but later moved to L.A. & then Riverside, CA, where he soon got into troubles, ending up doing time in jail.

When he was released, he decided to take music seriously & put his time and money into recording rap songs. Bossolo, who went by the name Smooth M.C. T, associated with a DJ named Dante. Together they founded the duo Words Of Mouth & recorded a record in 1991 ("Rhyme Immaculate"). Capitol Records even offered them a deal but it soon was terminated. After some other disappointments with major labels, Bossolo decided to go independant and... solo.

He appeared on a classic compilation of various artists from the Inland Empire ("The Inland Empire Strikes Back") on I.E. Records in 1999. They year after, he dropped his first official release, a collaboration album with Fidel Locsta ("The Game Aint Over"), still on I.E. Records.

In 2002 , Bossolo released his first solo album, "Beyond 2002", followed by more than 10 solo efforts until now & several collaboration albums ("The Boss Playa Project" with Playa Hamm from The Penthouse Players Clique in 2011, "Wes Collaborations" with Big2DaBoy in 2012 & "Thug Therapy" with Bay Area legend Spice 1 in 2015). Since 2007, he also runs hs own label, Bloc Hustle Inc.

Boss' albums are of very high quality to say the least. After going through so much hard times (incarceration, being homeless for 2 years and the loss of a child), the man provides you some real O.G. street knowledge with lyrics above average & a very solid flow over some bangin' G-Funk tracks mainly handled by legendary producer Steve Vicious since 2013.

Bossolo also worked with some legendary figures from the West Coast such as Ice-T, MC Eiht, Kokane, Daddy V, Playa Hamm, Battlecat, Spice 1, Big Syke (R.I.P.), Daz, 2Pac's Outlawz Young Noble, Money B of Digital Underground, Truth Hurts or heavyweights from other parts of the U.S. like Scarface, Timbaland or Devin the Dude...

It's a shame he's still underrated & overlooked by so-called rap heads. Go check his work & you won't be disappointed. Time to give some recognition to this man...
