Dog House Posse was a Gangsta Rap Group hailing from the streets of Harvey, LA, a city located on the Westbank of the New Orleans Area. The group was made up of Glock, Battle Dog & Diz.
Dog House Posse signed a record deal with Westbank Gangsta Rap label Mobo Record in the early 90's. They soon released a single in 1993 under Mobo Records ("Knuckle Up Nigga / Harvey Style") followed by their one and only full length album, "Dope Gets No Heavier", still on Mobo Records (1994).
This album is a gangsta rap local classic from the early 90's (the best years for Mobo...), full of drug stories & street tales over dark beats similar to other Mobo releases at this time. When the album was recorded, Diz was incarcerated so that he only contributed to a couple of songs.
The Dog House Posse never had a sophomore album but they appeared as a group or as solo artists on other Mobo relases in the 90's & on Mobo Joe's solo effort in 2004 ("Federalli"). They are also featured on Lil Woodstock's album "Understand Real Wayz" in 2002.
A collaboration album between 4-Shob of The Ruthless Juveniles & Battle Dog of D.H.P. was announced in the booklet of "Federalli" (2004) but it never came out.
The Dog House Posse vanished in the 2000's like so many underground rap groups from the Crescent City. We don't know what they became but it seems that Diz, who left Mobo Records in 2000, is still making music theses days (you can read his bio as "Dizz DaBlockDoctor" on the net).
