STORY

Tommy Hill, whose real name was John A. Wilson, was a rapper hailing from the Richard Allen Homes, a housing project located in lower North Philadelphia, PA.

His career was lauched in the 90's with the help of allegated Philly/South Jersey Mob Boss Joseph "Skinny Joe" Merlino. At this time, John Wilson had already spent time in prison before getting into rap music.

Hill founded the Ram Squad in the early 90's and after a few underground releases, including the Philly classics "Operation Lock The City" (1996) & "Thee Album Regardless" (1997), the group gained a solid regional reputation which led Universal to sign them. Then Ram Squad could have rose to stardom but they were dropped by the major label for some unknown reason. Soon after this they parted ways.

Hill released a solo album in 2002, entitled "Hilstreetblues" but was then caught up by the streets & served a few more years in prison for selling crack.

After his release, he launched a company called 34th Floor Entertainment and relocated mainly in Atlanta, GA & in North Carolina. On december 2, 2011, as he was in his hometown, he was shot & killed outside a bar at the age of 36...
